Alyssa & Chris’ thought a wedding was so nice, they did it twice! While the couple’s first celebration was a more traditional affair on the West Coast, they wanted to create a magical world for their October wedding at Audrey’s Farmhouse.
They enlisted friends and family to fold over a thousand origami creatures, including for their colorful paper crane backdrop, and tiny animals (and dinosaurs) that were hidden amongst the florals and moss of their whimsical table design. Vintage books were stacked throughout the space, and the couple named dinner tables for imaginary lands from some of their favorite fantasy novels. Guests were encourages to snap a polaroid of themselves celebrating to add to the couple’s collection of snapshots over their relationship.
Rather than cut a traditional wedding cake, Alyssa & Chris worked with Murray’s to curate a selection of gourmet cheeses for their cheese-cake cutting, which was then served with dessert.
As the evening went on, guests look advantage of Audrey’s dog-friendly policy by bringing in their pups to enjoy the fun of the dance party, as the couple snuck out for photos with the beautiful sunset.
The day had a natural ease and laid back confidence about it – just like Alyssa & Chris. Just a couple of kind, nerdy, lovable individuals, surrounded by their absolute favorite people (and pets) and a whole lot of fun.
