I was elated when Alexandra & Oliver contacted us about planning their intimate winter elopement in the Hudson Valley. Elopements are close to my heart (I did it myself, after all!) There’s something special about small weddings and truly being surrounded by the people you love most.
With just four weeks to plan, we quickly focused on The Greenhouses at Audrey’s Farmhouse. The venue’s stylish comfort (wood burning stove anyone?) and the bright, natural feel of the Greenhouse provided the balance needed for a January wedding.
With an impending snowstorm on the wedding day, the couple spent the morning getting ready separately before seeing each other for the first time as Alexandra walked down the aisle.
Their ceremony, flanked by lush plants, embraced the fleeting January light. Afterwards, the couple snuck outside for a few photos before joining their friends and family for a cozy candlelight dinner. The snow began to fall as dessert was served, and the small group snuck off to their hotel rooms to get snowed in for a couple of days together.
